Inside
our world

The View from the forge

At Happie Hippie Camp Store, our "world" is defined by the mist rising off the Jackson River and the sound of dry leaves crunching underfoot at Douthat State Park. We don't just sell gear; we live for the moments that gear makes possible.

To us, a "good day" isn't measured by the checkout counter, but by the horizon. We’ve spent our fair share of time untangling lines in Wilson Creek, scouting the quietest tent pads at Bolar Mountain, and finding the perfect balance between a lightweight pack and a heavy-duty adventure. We curate our shop with a "tried and true" philosophy—if we wouldn't trust it on a cold night in the George Washington National Forest, we won't put it on our shelves.

In our world:

  • Coffee tastes better when it’s brewed at a Lakeside Campground sunrise.

  • The best GPS is a local who knows where the smallmouth are biting on the lower Jackson.

  • The "Hippie" way means moving a little slower on the Jackson River Scenic Trail, breathing a little deeper, and leaving the trail better than we found it.

Whether you're gearing up for a solo trek up Beards Mountain or just want to swap stories about "the one that got away," you’re part of our world now. Pull up a camp chair and stay awhile.
